I am still reading it, but by what I have seen this is a complete building simulation book. The structure is made in a way you should build a model from scratch and this helps understand the most important variables on a model of a building. It does cover some of the physics, most of the calculus and even has some simple algorithms that seem to be usefull.

I got the book to have a reference and most of the time I do simulations of comercial buildings (from warehouses to shopping centers and sports arenas) with EnergyPlus and in a first impression the choice was good, as the book has a similar aproach as that used on the EP software.

Definitively recommend this book as an introduction and as a reference.
