The influence of Newtonian physics on other fields of science and on society is emphasized. Goswami has created not only a comprensive and engaging history of physics up to the modern era of quantum mechanics, he challenges his readers to broaden their horizons by linking each movement in physics with the mindset that has created it and which it instills. Science is not intellect objectively analysing a seperate material universe, but biased intellect trying to create a mental model of that universe. By analysing the philosophical underpinnings of different scientific approaches, he argues that the worldview that came from Newtonian physics is obsolete in the era of quantum mechanics. For daring to call out the philosophical torpor of the the scientific community, one reviewer has already called him a "crank", and insinuated that he misrepresents his views as those of the entire scientific community, which he certainly does not. Goswami is a welcome voice of critical dissent in the scientific bastions of positivism. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "The Physicist's View of Nature, Part 1 - From Newton to Einstein: From Newton to Einstein Pt. 1" are high quality item.
