Publish / Subscribe Systems: Design and Principles (Wiley Series on Communications Networking & Distributed Systems) Review

This book covers a lot of ground, including introductions to basic concepts such as web technologies and P2P/DHTs, something I didn't expect in a book targeted at researchers. Explaining basics is fine, but it means that a lot of details don't fit into a book of only 330 pages.

While the number of systems mentioned in this book is impressive, every subchapter only covers what you'd read in an abstract. Without these crucial details, it's still a nice read, but doesn't help the reader in actually understanding the systems it mentions.

The book is simply too thin for 90+ USD.
