Combustion Physics Review

I'm a Masters student in Mechanical Engineering, and have used this book for two combustion classes. I must say it's one of the worst textbooks that I've ever encountered. It doesn't explain most topics very well, and instead relies on throwing a bunch of equations at you. There isn't even a decent nomenclature section. Originally I didn't even think there was one, but I later discovered it buried at the end of Chapter 5.

Stick with Principles of Combustion by Kuo if you want a decent combustion book that actually tries to teach you the material. If you want to be bombarded with a series of complex equations with little to no explanation, go for this book.

Oh, and the paperback edition isn't very well made. It doesn't like to stay open to a particular page, and is starting to fall apart.
