Always and forever on the lookout for biochemistry books for the allied professional that actually teach instead of confusing the student, I came upon this little Gem from "Down Under" (Australia). Since it is a Kindle book, I had immediate access to it, and I have to say that this book is very nicely done. As the Editorial review and my Title claim, this book really does assume no prior knowledge of Biochemistry, or even Anatomy and Physiology.Unlike most Biochemistry books out there that are huge and crammed with thousands of details for medical students, this book is specifically geared toward teaching the introductory basics to the Allied Health Student. And it does a nice job of it too.
Along with "Biochemistry for Nurses" by Raju (ISBN-10: 8180613569), "Biochemistry Explained: A Practical Guide to Learning Biochemistry " by Thomas Millar, (ISBN-10: 041529942X), and "The Chemistry of LIfe" by Steven Rose and Radmila Mileusnic (ISBN-10: 0140272739), These 4 books so far round out my Basics-of-Biochemistry Library.
